Social workers and youth support officers see children in stress.
We welcome referrals when:
- A BME youth in care or receiving support shows self-harm or aggression, or mentions hate or revenge.
- You observe a sudden change in placement stability, e.g. running away or being expelled from school.
- There are safety concerns like unexplained injuries, threats to siblings, or reports of involvement with older gang members.
- The family expresses fear about their child’s new friendships or activities.
Our link with social services means we can complement your work: providing mentors, mediation, or family support focused on these risks, not just general welfare.
For help with a referral, reach out to our social services liaison.
Take Action: If you are worried about a BME youth showing any of the above signs, please contact us today. We provide confidential advice and welcome referrals to help the young person and family. Together, we can guide them towards positive opportunities and away from violence or extremist influences.
